You’re Mint For This

Thin Mints are addicting but where does the donations go?

An engaging AR experience that teaches users how Thin Mints help Girl Scouts grow into future leaders and how they earn rewards through cookie sales. The project involves recreating Thin Mints packaging and designing a 3D AR experience using image tracking technology.

Problem

Honestly, no one really knows where the money from selling Thin Mints actually goes or what it really does to help the Girl Scouts. You hand over your cash, take your cookies, and just sort of hope it’s going to a good cause. People always assume it’s helping the girls somehow, but there’s not much info out there explaining how. It’s kind of weird how something so popular can still feel like a total mystery.

My Solution

I redesigned the Thin Mints packaging and adding something way cooler, a 3D AR experience that kicks in using image tracking technology. Just point your phone at the box, and you’ll actually see where your money goes and how it helps the Girl Scouts in real time. It's like peeling back the curtain and getting a behind-the-scenes look at the impact of your purchase. We want the box to be more than just a cookie container, it’s a window into the mission.
